Default Vglide to contoller(yes another speed topic)

I have a 91 or 92 clubcar Vglide that isn't to bad about 15-17mph but I would like to get some more speed I have read about controllers but i have
36v and JUST bought new trojans but was told by the local golf cart mech that It wouldn't help switching to 48 volt because 36 and 48 have the same amps so same power....

so my question is how fast can I get with a 36v contoller (i would like 20-25mph) and what are the pros and cons of a controller converson?

thanks

On 36v you will need a bigger motor, controller, and tires.......for 25mph.

You can go fast with gas or electric. Don't forget once you get going real fast you have trouble stopping with stock brakes...If you use the site seach for "speed" you will have a weeks worth of reading on the topic

yea i have been doing alot of reading but I was just wondering about 36volt because it always seems to be 48v carts that go fast but i am not looking for super fast just 20mph or so
