6" or 8" Pros and cons
Im pretty sure I will be going with an A Arm lift kits for my 2003 club car.
Im one of those always buy bigger, it gives room for growth later or possible future upgrades etc. With the lifts this may not be the case. If going with one of either 22", 23" or 25" tires on either 10" or 12" rims: Will 8" of lift make the cart too top heavy and or prone to flip when on the street doing speeds up to lets say 35 mph? What Im asking is should I go with the 6 or 8 inch lift with the above possible ties combinations? Any input is appratiated. Scott |

Re: 6" or 8" Pros and cons
I'm lifted just a bit over 8". I added wheel spacer to push the wheel out. It was a great help, feels good at speeds over 35 on the roads. You can also use wheels with more offset to make the cart wider.

Re: 6" or 8" Pros and cons
My input on this one is the quality of the lift. Both 6" and 8" are tall, so my choice would be one with a wider wheelbase, if not, you'll need to add wheel spacers for stability. I also like the 12" wheels over 10's, as the tires will have less sidewall to flex...

I'd go 8" only because you won't have to but a new lift if you want bigger tires. Make it as wide as possible too. Just my .02

Re: 6" or 8" Pros and cons
I went with an 8" A-Arm lift because I wanted 12" wheels and not 10" wheels. 10" wheels looked too small and had too much sidewall.

I went with 12x10-12 ITP's type 7 wheels. Not sure of the offset.
I ordered it last Sunday and it hasn't arrived yet. When I get it and install it, I'll be sure to let you know. I'll take pictures too. |

Re: 6" or 8" Pros and cons
2" wheel spacers will make a difference. I think the wheels look better with that stance as well. I have not seen a sway bar on a cart yet not even sure if it is possible something to consider. Also if you are running a spindle lift or A-arm will make a difference too. Change up your shocks to better quality and just take it easy on the turns...
