Default Starting problems......99 clubcar ds

Hi guys, I have an issue with my 99ds, the cart will turn over but not fire up, I have read through the various posts and have tried most things they suggested, it worked fine up untill last week but now won't fire up, it's just as if you are starting it cold with no choke.....there is a good spark and fuel is getting into the spark plug(which I changed today with no results), I have checked for leaks on the air pipe after the choke and even blocked it off at the carb but the thing just won't fire up, the only thing I can think of is maybe some water in the fuel tank......I have now ran out of talent and ideas......any suggestions?

Lemme ask this, how did you see the spark plug was getting fuel? Reason I ask if you say it is getting spark, then it can only be a fuel issue if it has compression. Maybe too much fuel?

Okay..... you need to start checking the micro switches in the little black box...

looking for what exactly?
i have a good spark and as far as i can tell i have fuel going into the cylinder, i pulled the fuel hose off the carb and turned it over and the pump is feeding fuel to the carb.....just doesn't want to fire up.....do you think i have some bad fuel...maybe some water in the fuel.....i have half a tank of fuel in that is only 2 weeks old....the 1st half of the tank ran fine with no issues.

Put some fuel in the cylinder, put the plug back in and see if it fires up. If it does its a fuel issue, if it doesnt maybe it is a spark issue. Atleast you can eliminate the fuel issue if it fires up. Even if it has a spark, is it enough to fire the fuel up though?

just a follow up, turns out that the cable that runs to the lever on top of the carb was out of adjustment, the gas peddle cable was too long.....works fine now, thanks for any help that was offered.
