Default ERIC Charger - yes or no

Hey guys, been lurking for long time. I currently have a 2009 Yami electric and now looking at some Precedents of various years (and prices). Just wondering is the ERIC charger a significant upgrade that it should impact my search too look for carts that have these or not that big of deal.
Love to here some thoughts.

Thanks

Should you get a cart just based on the fact that it comes with the ERIC charger? No.
Any cart can be made to work with any charger. Which charger it comes with is basically a moot point, assuming it comes with one.

IMO it doesn’t make any difference, some might say it’s an added value because it’s a “smart charger”. I’m on the fence as far as smart chargers go. They have some advantages, but at the same time they have some drawbacks, like no user serviceable parts inside.

Buy the cart that suits you, worry about the charger later.

I had an older EZGO and I hated that big honking, heavy charger that came with it.

That big honking heavy charger will still work in 50 years compared to that ERIC disposable chinese garbage. It's just the Club Car version of a PowerWise QE. Total junk.

I haven't heard "honking" in years-what a great flashback! I'm gonna start using it again!

Where have you seen/heard these breaking down? They have been around awhile and CC still using them.

Thanks

They are still being used because they are cheaper and only have to make it until the end of the warranty.
