No. 160+ is ideal. Anything below 140 is no bueno.

Again showing nothing but ignorance. Just stop. Please just stop. Drugs are bad, kids.

And this is coming from a guy with an electric cart

I think we have reached a conclusion that we are looking at a full rebuild for this engine. Luckily these are really easy to do. Nothing complicated at all. As long as you take your time and use the rebuild manual located in the tech section, you will have a really nice smooth running engine that will last at least another 25 years as long as regular oil changes are performed and the air filter is properly maintained and leak free.

The inlet valves do not look excessively sunk but I would change them regardless while the engine is undergoing surgery.

hopefully we can move on and get you sorted.

It looks like a lot of the manual links in the tech section are no longer working and need updating so here is a direct link to the PDF file at Textron.

Link to engine manual.

Not great to hear that a rebuild is in order, but if that’s what it takes then I’ll start reading up on the rebuild steps. I REALLY appreciate all the help on this so far. I’ll probably start a new post once I start that process as I’m sure I’ll need advice/direction at some point.

Its a sad fact that engines wear out just like us LOL.

With the information you have provided it seems fairly certain, But do as CP said, check the valve lash first before ordering parts, It may give you more time to make a decision.

EDIT, You already did that! ignore me I am having one of those days
