Finally added front disc brakes
I've been putting it off for over a year now. Finally pulled the trigger. Pretty nice kit Jake's has put together, new spindles, cool adapter for the stock pedal to support both the new front hydraulics & the rear mechanical brakes (I have the Ausco rear discs), and the funny thing is that the calipers are actually made by Wilwood.
Joe Bob says two thumbs way up! A couple pics I took along the way..... |

Re: Finally added front disc brakes
Yep, stops way better now. This is a cart built by Arizona Sports Center after being a fleet cart in a previous life. The front IFS is a TerraToys, which is no longer available. Plus Kawasaki Teryx shocks.

Re: Finally added front disc brakes
Looks Great!! Now, I have a question. You have a Terra front suspension, what is the difference between the spindles that came with the lift, and the Jakes spindles??
The reason I am asking, is that I am gathering parts to add a RHOX A arm lift to my TXT. I would like to install front discs while I'm at it, and if the spindles are all the same across the board, so to speak, other than caliper mounts, I will go with the Jakes kit myself. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Finally added front disc brakes
Yep, you got it. The big difference is the additional caliper mount. But they also eliminated the steering while being towed mount (something that usually only gets used when they are fleet carts....allows them to tow a big train of carts). Otherwise the spindles were the same (as far as lift, diameter, length, etc)

Re: Finally added front disc brakes
That's interesting to know. Wonder if they would work with All Sports lifts to do the same if wanting front wet brakes?

Does All Sports use the stock EZGo spindles?

Re: Finally added front disc brakes
Would you please measure the Jakes spindles height for me. I want to compare it to the RHOX spindles I already have. If they will fit, I am ordering a Jakes disc brake system that comes with the spindles. I really do appreciate you posting!
