You can easily run that motor at 6000 RPM which will give you 23 to 24 MPH depending on tire pressure. Your throttle is not giving you 100% as DaveMJ said.

Thanks guys, I did have the lap top on it running the Alltrax tool kit V3.11. It says its seeing 100% throttle. I dont have any wheel drag so to speak. Checked brakes bearings etc. Tires are at pressure as well. I'm out of town until Friday for work. I will take the cart out again this weekend on a full charge with the program monitoring it. I will post what all the parameters are at. Its running well and I realize 20 is nothing to sneeze at in the golf cart world. We just have what i think is a pretty solid set up I was hoping to see closer to 25mph. I will keep you all posted. All always thank you for all your help! We have gone from dead worn out cart to something we are just having a blast with!!Any set up suggestions/ Recommendations or advice is always graciously accepted!

Thanks Dave. I have the program and have been monitoring the cart on a lap top when I run it. I'm seeing 100% throttle. Not sure where I'm losing four or five miles an hour. I know that not any two carts are the same but I'm seeing 24-28 mph out of a ton of carts with the same set up. I'm hoping in in the controller set up somewhere.

It looks like your Admiral A-1 has a maximum speed of 22 mph on 18" tire diameter. That is about 5000 rpm's. Apparently the motor is the limiting factor here, not the controller.

What diameter tires are you running? If you are running larger tires, you should get more speed.

well I hooked her back up over the weekend to the laptop. I moved the throttle rate up and down it doesn't seem to effect much. I'm getting 18-20 mph tops out of this thing on a fresh charge. throttle is showing 100%. My neighbor is running the exact and I mean exact set up. same cart year everting. With the exception of a non programmable 400amp controller. He's running 22-24.8mph on a fresh charge. Not sure what I'm missing but I gotta say 18-20 is pretty disappointing considering the money in upgrades we have on this little cart. 4/5 MPH is a big difference on a cart. This thing loves to keep me scratching my head. All the parameters in the Alltrax have been triple checked. I even pulled the wheels and hubs. Nothing is dragging or worn. Cables are running cool. Monitoring the cart on the lap top when im rolling and everything looks great. Just losing about 3/5mph somewhere

Hey Tom I'M running a 23x10x14in tire and rim set up. I'm still messing with the cart. This weekend when I get home I'm going to hook my FLUKE up to the battery pack and do a few runs see what im pulling. The alltrax program says I'm giving the motor 100% throttle but I'm not sure I believe that. Some where this little cart owes me four or five miles an hour lol

I'm nearly out of suggestions now. If your Alltrax throttle reading shows 100%, you should get 28 mph at full motor speed.

Is your throttle 0 to 5k or 5k to 0? Whichever it is, unplug is and confirm you are getting full throttle reading with an ohm meter. Run the pedal down and up to see what the actual resistance is. Your Alltrax may be seeing 75% as if it was 100%.

Sergio talked about this in some posts. You can search his posts and see if you can find what he said to do with the throttle/ Alltrax combo.
