I left the key switch there and just disconnected the wires. Firstly it saved me having to blank it or change it somehow and secondly it is probably even more secure because it looks normal but if someone uses their key nothing happens. Even if someone pulled the dash off they'd have to know which were the correct wires to join because there's nothing on the old key switch any more.
This is a good post...thanks!! You should have a searchable thread for this.

I think it worked out great. It won't solve everything because some holes are just too big. But it did get rid of most of the bone jarring ones. Going to do the front next.

Took mine for a hard ride. Around 6-7 miles.

Mostly on road but that includes a few big hills. Around 1.5 was off road.
75% of driving was on the floor (23-25mph).

Get back and you can smell something.

Motor temp 210-235*f. Controller was 117*f

Battery voltage 48.8.

I'm not liking those temps at all. Brakes are near impossible to push.. wonder if they are dragging.

What's the temp of your rims? If they're dragging it will burn your hand.

Saw some wheel lights by Fentertainment so thought I’d try. Grabbed some 1” wide by 1/16” thick flat aluminum bars and made some rings. Then bent some brackets out of the same material and riveted them to the rings and attached to the axle with hose clamps. Soldered up two rows of led lights and attached them to the ring. Pretty easy. Here are some pics. Have to finish the other 3 wheels tomorrow.

Forgot about checking brake/wheel temp. I got to quit being lazy and do some maintenance.

What diameter did you make the rings from and why did you use two strips? How did you bend the hoops so nicely? Great job, and here's a link to the video for anyone wanting to see it:
