96 ds rear axle locked up
Big problem here guys. Rear wheels locked up. Engine runs but cart will not move forward or reverse. I jacked it up and tires will rotate in opposite directions(one forward and one reverse) but will not move in the same direction.
Need some advice as to what this could be and what I need to tear into first. Thanks |

try rocking it real hard back and forth.....i have seen several that have done this and every time rocking them back and forth hard snaps them free.......not sure why they do it but they sometimes do.......................

Good advice! Rocked it hard and it snapped free. It rolls but still feels like it has a hitch like something is binding a little. Sounds like some clicking coming from the diff area. Any ideas?

Open it up and see what it looks like in there. If there is a hitch in the giddy-up it's likely a tooth has been chipped and the gears are no longer meshing properly. The longer you run it like that the more damage it will do and the more parts you'll be replacing.
