I've thought about x'ing between the z's. I've decided I'm going to use the same 10 gauge plate and bend both sides and bolt it in. That would stop any twisting issue. But as of now the plates are 3/8 each n I will not have off road until tire change. We are getting snow n ice now n I really don't want to pull a sheet of steel from one garage n put it in the other so that will be a soon but project for another day

here's my 92 cc , Z lift front cover, plate steel folded and welded upper cornors and weld a angle inside to mount the front cowl.

got rear bumper from everything carts and made it into front brush guard

That looks real nice imjman !! I got bigger tires on now but am thinking of using two plastic storage box lids ( like the gray ones from Walmart) and cutting out some finder wells for the front. They should give enough flex to shape, paint, n I'll pop rivet it n place
