Smile first thread

this is my first time on website...i just purchased a needy club car...need a wiring diagram, or manual....batteries are holding 6 v charge, but can't get it moving...perhaps bad wire, or some defective part...the charger puts out over 36 volts, so i am at loss...would pay to have it working, but have no way to haul it... any advice appreciated..

Does the solenoid click when the pedal is depressed?

Welcome sunvia From the valley of the Yucca plants I found sunvia on Craigs looking for help. I thought you guys could help him fix his cart. I don't know of any golf cart shops with in 50 miles of Yucca Valley in the Mojave Desert. I know the area well. His ad posted serial # info. "I NEED A MANUAL OR WIRING DIAGRAM FOR A CLUB CAR GOLF CART SERIAL NUMBER A8449XXXX "
So we know he has the first year (1984) of the DS carts. It is a 36V 5 solenoid cart. Let's start with the wiring diagram.... What happens (if anything) when you push the gas peddle? Do you haer any clicking from the big solenoids to the rear of the batteries? Or slight clicks from the speed indicator box under the driver's seat? Save and print this diagram.....

it will take me some time to figure this
BGW format,,,,,, i have checked all the battery cables and put new ends on some of them... i checked the voltage on each of them...they are around 6v each, except one at 3.7 v..... when i put the f/n/r in neutral,, i hear a slight clicking....nothing in f or r.......i checked voltage from battery to one of the solenoids in back,,,,somewhere around 30v....it seems to me that even with lower voltage, it should at least try to move a little...probably a defective
part of some sort... the cart has new tires and in fair shape for the price i paid.... i will put a new keyed ignition switch and whatever it needs ....
i appreciate all the comments and any help you can give...
