speed issue
My newest issue, 98 club car 48v. when i put it in reverse it took off much faster then it normally would go but it went on its own. What causes this? Don't dare drive it until its solved.
thanks, john |

Re: speed issue
Are you saying it only goes full speed when you push the pedal? I just recently fixed this problem for someone on a 90’s 48v PowerDrive Club Car. The issues was one of the resistors inside of the multi step potentiometer being damaged. There should be a good 0-5k reading from the potentiometer.

Re: speed issue
last time i drove to the clubhouse it was fine. when i put in in reverse it just took off, had to turn it off to get it to stop. one of our backyard mechanics said if was an accelerator switch? which is suppose to be in a panel under the mat which on my cart there isn't one and i can't find it if that is what is wrong.
