EZGO Wont GO

Ok guys hopefully y'all can help. I ran across a deal on a buggy last weekend so i had to buy it! It has a 500 amp 36v controller, and D&D motor Model# 170-002-0001, upgraded wires to motor. Only thing lacking is HD F/R switch which i'm planning to order.

The guy said the solenoid was bad, got it home and it was in fact bad, tested at 4.8 ohms. I ordered a new one from scottyb and put it in today. Checked my wiring twice.

Problem i'm having is the buggy will only go in forward and i have to push start it to get it moving, once its moving it wont move very fast almost as if it shuddering when trying to move. wont go in reverse at all, not even with a push.

The controller flashes 4 times and the the green light stay on when pushing the throttle. The F/R switch seems to be making good contact. The only logical place left is the motor...hope its not bad, but what is the best way to test the motor?

Test the battery voltage at a standstill and then when you are trying to go and it will barely move, what is the voltage then? Post these 2 numbers please.

37.8 sitting with no pedal depressed

30.5 with pedal depressed all the way barley moving.

Yeah you have 1 or more bad batteries

you need to load test them. it's normal for the cart to shudder when it's struggling to move because of low voltage, it's a classic sign typically
