Default 2017 Yamaha Drive 2 EFI light kit

If you could come up with a better light kit to install on these things you'd be a millionaire!! I've never seen any worse designed light kits to install in my life! WHY do you have to make it so hard? The Drive light kits were perfect and then you went to THIS?! SMDH Either make simpler light kits or come up with pre-cut front ends...this trying to cut from a stencil in order to make an angled lens fit is for the birds! I've put on and tried out 3 different brands and they all seem like the engineers were drunk when they came up with the idea. I thought the EZGO Freedom lights were a pain in the A$$ but THESE take the cake!! **Rant over**

Yamaha offers panels with the holes cut, for THEIR light kit. See, you had a better option all along!

You are generally correct about "worst design ever", that pretty much sums up all the aftermarket light kits in one way or another. Either hard to install, low quality light harness, low quality Led fixtures that quickly fail, turn signal stalks that dont last a month, or a fun combination of the above.

I agree with this rant 100%...the push pin idea is horrible and these lights take twice as long to install...I feel your pain...

Where/who offers panels pre-cut?

Yamaha motor Corp (Aka "the factory").. But the holes only fit Yamaha's light kit.

Nor sure what you mean, I cant do anything to help with one you already cut. Or to solve your issues with the aftermarket kits (while still using the aftermarket kit). This is one of the many reasons why we never do aftermarket light kits on yamahas, and very, very rarely on anything else.

But, Yamaha does offer several colors, and the body is easiest to change of any cart.

Yeah the new Matte colors are the best...and the new seats are some of the best on the market!

I actually dislike the matte finishes, just looks like a unfinished job to me. If I had one, first thing it would get is a good clear coat.

But, the new premium seats are really nice.
