Voltage on frame
What would cause this?? I have take the pack loose from the solenoid and the voltage is this present. I have removed the wires from the motor and retested and the voltage is still there. I removed the whole pack, cleaned the tray, batteries and cables, reinstalled, and the voltage is still there. What is my next step? After I fix it, it will be up,for sell! Haha

Re: Voltage on frame
Sorry guy that was a bit vague. I have about 35vdc on the frame. I tested from b- on alltrax to frame. Alltrax is getting crazy temp readings causing it to stop working. Alltrax tech support told me to voltage on frame would cause it. I found there to be voltage.

Re: Voltage on frame
I understand there are not to be any electrical grounds made to the frame. You might check to see that all of your accessories are grounded to the pack or to a buss bar grounded to the voltage reducer and none are made directly to the frame. Check for continuity between the frame and your packs ground.

Re: Voltage on frame
Pete, i think i will do just that. I believe my lights are connected to the 3 and4 battery. They are wired for 16v. I am going to remove them this afternoon, however, i am getting around 30v. Beau, i will check that also. Thanks

Re: Voltage on frame
You could have a partial short in your motor windings. Carefully remove the cables from the motor ( make sure to hold the bottom nut so the studs don't turn ), and test each stud to the case for a partial short. This may be your heating problem too!
