Looks like a cold ar return for a furnace. He's hiding a heater under the seat.. Appears to be a bike or 4 wheeler engine under the hood, needs to let the hot air out to keep his backside cool.

the orange pipe is like a cold air intake. I need to fashion a shifter to this cart. Does anyone have any ideas?

this motor is a Honda 250 sx motor form a atc i believe. All I really need to do is fashion a shifter to the motor and we should be off and running. I will probably post it on here and the old craigslist when im finished

Trusty old Honda engine. I'm told they move along great in a cart. Loads of torque at the bottom end, and top speeds close to 35 mph. I've got pics of a couple different installs, one is chain drive to a cart rear diff. One used the ATC rear diff & shaft drive. How is yours setup?

As for the shifter, I haven't seen how it's done yet. But it seems like you can rotate the foot shifter upward then setup a stick shifter on the floor. Then it would be sort of like a ratchet shifter on a car, bump it forward to go up a gear, backward to go down. And I think there is a linkage for the reverse lockout.

Mine is the ATC rear diff & shaft drive. As far as the shifter I found a pretty cool one on ebay

I really have never had to fab a shifter on something and I have no idea where to even start. I do understand the concept of turning down the shifter and fashioning a rod to it then up to a floor shifter but I just have no idea what kind to buy. like you said it just needs to go up and down.
