Have you tested the solenoid- disconnected from the carts wiring? You do NOT want to backfeed power into the controller, just in case it's not already your problem. That precharge resistor is not intended to carry enough current to run the motor. It's just to make the transition from off to on easier on the controller. In use, the PDS system supplies both the + / - to the solenoid small terminals through the controller.

And that is why i am having trouble figuring this problem out! I am a lousy electrician.

The motor tests good and the controller tests good, but the cart will not run.

It would be a waste of money to get motor cleaned and checked by motor shop?

I don't see any mention of how you may have tested the controller itself. See if this helps: https://shop.fsip.biz/Image/GetDocument/en/219

That is part of my problem. The solenoid tests good, the motor runs when jumped, and i did the whole troubleshooting with the test sheet you referenced on the controller, and it also test properly 100%. I don’t know where to go next.

They all test good but when i hook the motor to the controller, i get no solenoid click and the voltage on the controller side of the solenoid goes wayyyy down from pack voltage.

If you get no solenoid click the controller can't do anything. That PDS controller supplies both sides of the signal to engage the solenoid. How did you get the controller to "test properly 100%" without the controller getting powered up through the solenoid?

I went thru that list one by one. All readings matched the list. There were no test that required the solenoid to click.

Just for kicks. By pass the solenoid and see if the cart runs.

By moving the pos cable/wires to other side of solenoid?

Any lucky with getting it to run? Ive got a 97 that wont go and thinking controller -- my solenoid clicks when engaging -- B+ wire gets super hot on the controller
