Default 06 carryall gas key start won't run

Hello,I have a 2006 carryall that will start up with the key start, but when you hit the pedal the cart won't take over. I already changed the micro switch in the pedal box with no change. Also when I hit the pedal,I have no spark on the plug. What am I missing?

It sounds like it’s just cranking off the starter generator and not actually starting the engine. It sounds like something electrical is causing it not to have spark.

The key start carts have a relay and two micro switches. The second switch is on the shifter and is often the cause of stalling when pressing the pedal.
Look on the back of the shift lever for a yellow knob, if the knob is in the wrong position the engine will only run in neutral.
It needs to be flipped over for the engine to run in F or R.
If it has a maintenance/Run switch make sure the switch is working and that it’s in Run when trying to drive, or Maintenance only when in Neutral for testing.

I changed both micro switches to rule those out. Also the yellow knob seems to be in the right position. When the cart starts it will shut off when you press the pedal in the neutral position also. I have zero spark on the plug. I tried to start it a few days ago,and it actually caught 1 time and I was able to drive it. Now it will only run on the starter/generator and doesn't run when pedal is pressed. Im missing something somewhere it seems.

Try this. I wrote this for pedal start but 99% would apply to key start

The limit switches deactivate the relay so it's possible one of those are not wire correctly, or you changed the wrong one. The first switch on the shifter is for the Reverse buzzer and doesn't do anything else. The second switch on the shifter is the one that I usually just bypass because its the most common to fail. Jump the red and brown wires together for testing and see if it changes anything.

Also verify the wiring on the switch on the throttle cam is connected properly. And check that the wiring on the relay is correct.
It is possible to bypass the relay, but that can cause the cart to not shut off at all, so should really only be done for testing. Often if bypassing the relay fixes it a new relay is needed, but these are a special design and are $$. Not very common for the relay to fail from what I've experienced, its usually something else like a failing ignition coil or bad limit switch.
Check page 6-14 here for wire diagrams: https://www.caddycars.co.uk/wp-conte...17/12/06-1.pdf

I changed the first micro swith on shifter that doesn't operate the reverse buzzer, and I changed the only one in the pedal box. All wiring is where it came from. Cart was running some, then it started this.

Disconnect the rev limiter and see if that changes anything. Find the brown wire off the limiter and unbolt it from the bracket, tape it off so it doesn't touch anything.

If that doesn't change anything then disconnect the kill wire for the coil. Right next to the rev limiter is a pigtail with a black wire and a white wire with a black stripe. Disconnect the white/blk stripe wire. If the engine starts it will continue to run with this unplugged, so to kill the engine you'll need to ground the black wire to the engine.

If it starts and runs with the white/blk disconnected there is a problem with the limit switches or relay.
If it still doesn't run the ignition coil is bad.
