Default Increase speed questions

I understand increased amperage = increased power and increased voltage = increased speed...

However there are other factors at play...the motor capabilities itself (hp rating for torque) but is there a factor on the motor for speed? Obviously the horsepower rating can be used for torque (amperage) increases but what about pure top speed?

So keeping battery pack at 36 volts and upgrading a controller with a higher amperage rating one would not be able to increase top speed only torque (with the increased amperage)....unless I'm missing something such as the controllers ability to allow certain rpm thresholds....

Which leads me to the next question....is there specific information regarding this important spec before choosing a controller? And is there any info I can look up on my specific controller that I currently have in to see what max rpm is allowed? This way I can determine if a simple trip to the dealership or some kind of do it yourself programming of the controller can get more speed out of it....

It sounds like you already own a speed controller? If so, post which model. And is this a homemade vehicle or is it something from one of the typical manufacturers?

That's a programmable controller, so better check if theres a speed limit set first:

M1–M4, MAX FWD SPD
The maximum forward speed parameter defines the maximum controller
voltage output at full throttle, in the forward direction. The maximum forward
speed parameter is adjustable from the programmed creep speed up to 100%.
It is tuned as part of the vehicle performance adjustment process (Section 5).
