Default Improve Run Time

I have a 2003 G22, 48 volt. Batteries are about a year old, battery cables are new and it has a new alltrax controller. I keep the water levels right and the terminals cleaned.

Cart does not get much use in the winter months but stays charged. Gets used pretty frequently over the summer.

I will only get about 30 minutes of run time before needing to recharge. At first I wrote this off to the controller going bad, but it hasn't really improved with new controller.

Any tips to get better run time?

Any other mods not noted like lifts and larger tires? That run time seems really low. What brand and AH rating do the FLA batteries have?

Fully charge your batteries, let them rest over night and then measure each single battery with a volt meter. The result will tell you a lot about the condition of the batts.

A hydrometer to test each battery’s water will also tell you a lot about the battery health. Buy one at any auto parts store. They are not expensive…maybe $15.

if you dont want to mess with a hyrometer.. You can buy a battery load tester from harbor freight for about $20 which will tell you a lot also... or just use a multimeter and test the voltage of each cell by dipping the prob into the water.

Assuming 15 mph for 30 minutes is about 7.5 miles traveled. That is alarmingly low. This indicates a battery problem. If you do not find one weak battery then the whole pack is suffering from mismanagement. Ensure your charger is correct for the batteries. Ensure it is bringing the pack to 56-65 volts at the end of a charge.
Begin daily charge and discharge cycles. If this does not improve the batteries they may be irreversibly damaged.

I've checked the batteries using a hydrometer and they test well.

I've got two theories

One is there was corrosion on the old cables and might've cause some power issues.

Two is the cart will fly, runs about 25 and that may affect run time
