Lifting rear only
I need to lift the rear of my cart about 1 inch.
With folks on the back seat the rear tires will rub in a turn. HD springs already installed. Do I just need to make a block spacer and install longer U bolts? Anyone know of a premade small lift. Tires and wheels are new so upgrading all this is not an option right now. 205s on 10 wheels. 06 TXT |

Re: Lifting rear only
Longer shackles would be the easiest way to lift it only an inch. You could make them pretty easily.

Re: Lifting rear only
Does anyone sell a longer shackle?
Is your rearend a over or beneath leaf springs? How much lift do you get just from placing leafs above rearend? |

Re: Lifting rear only
I just did this very thing yesterday. I could have easily made them myself with the CNC plasma table at work but I was at the dealer and just bought them.
They are 1" longer and are what comes on the new Valor carts. I have a stock height TXT gas and with two people on the back seat the back corners of the fenders were almost touching the tires. 14" wheel with a 215/35-14 tire, 20" tall. BTW, stock shackles are 2 1/2" center to center, the Valor shackles are 3 1/2" center to center. |

Re: Lifting rear only
Yes, I bought four.
I'm now dealing with the issue that the rear shocks are too short. Choices as I see it are a pair of the Valor shocks or shock stud extenders. I ordered a pair of Mr. Gasket #1290 stud extenders this evening. Waiting for my dealer to do some research on the shocks tomorrow. I can go either way but figured the extenders are cheap and I'll get them coming this way whether I use them or not. |
