Default Cloud Energy Saga

Just thougth I'd post my experience so far with Cloud Energy.

So far very positive. All my questions have been answered quickly and I believe honestly. I ordered some 24v 300ah batteries for my off grid system and a 48v 100ah golf cart battery.
The cost including shipping to Australia was very compeditive with localy avaliable simular batteries.
Basically the cost of localy sourced off grid batteries (even 3.2vcells) was so high by doing it this way, even with shipping, I get the golf cart battery free.

I asked them to double check componenets etc as return from Australia to China for warantee work was logisticaly prohibative. And they agreed to fully cycle and test multile times prior to shipping.

My most recent email
Dear Andrew.
This is the 48V 100Ah golf cart lithium battery I made for you last week in the factory test, so far it has gone through 8 cycles, the battery performance is normal, this week the 24V 300Ah shell will be made, sorry for not shipping on time, because the 24V 300Ah shell is not in stock need to be ordered from the factory, try to ship it out this week, I will test the battery again in the factory before shipment, to ensure that the battery is of good quality! I will test the battery again in the factory before shipment to ensure the quality of the battery and the safety of the packaging when shipped.

I've had the same experience with them. Very responsive to inquiries. I've had mine installed for a couple of weeks now and am impressed so far. Fingers crossed I continue to be happy over the long run.

Glad you guys are having a great experience with the batteries you purchased.

Gives me some hope they may be a solid up and comer to push the current top tier brands to continue to innovate and be completive in price.

The saga continues. I chased up why they have not shipped yet, 10 days after last email. They have still not received the 24v 300ah boxes from there supplier. They sent me a copy of the email chain to verify this. and offered me a $200 refund to compensate for the delay. I declined and asked them to credit it to my next order dependent on my satisfaction with this order. Also assured them not to rush as quality and reliability were more important to me than delivery speed. All correspondence was fast and polite and seemed honest and genuinely apologetic for the delay.

From my understanding - Sort of. Op lives in Australia and requested that they double and triple check to make sure battery is 100% perfect as it would be cost prohibitive to ship back for warranty should it be necessary.

From what I've read and experienced personally, there won't likely be any issues.

Put mine in rough yesterday. Did OBC bypass, and new neg cable and hooked up and charged. Cells fairly balanced, will improve I am sure, but cart ran flawlessly and hardest part of install was cutting out tub and setting up placements. performance is as expected. At this price i would be happy to get the 5 years covered by warranty. No difference in performance from the Eco battery i installed on another cart for less than half the price. Eco is the cadillac here as i have seen but this battery is the Honda and gets me to the store and back which is all I was needing.

I'm in Australia so it's shipping from China direct as they have no agent/warehouse in Aust. I've not just ordered a golf cart battery also a couple of 300ah 24v batteries for an off grid setup. The delay has been in relation to the 2 x 24v batteries.

The cost comparison, including shipping, is still very good value compared to locally sourced similar items.

Good to hear you've had a positive experience. I'm looking forward to receiving mine. Jumping through the customs and import hoops is next for me. It should be pretty smooth but some of the customs guys just like to make things difficult I reckon.
