![]() I’ve got a 2006 ACG 48 v cart currently running lead acid batteries. The cart has a lot of Club Car components so I’ve adopted this sub forum.
Another ACG cart owner posted on Facebook he upgraded his cart using this product he found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/VATRER-POWER-...cx_mr_hp_atf_m Full disclosure I have NO relationship with this company. The other owner said the upgrade was as easy as; 1) Remove Lead Acid Batteries 2) Remove DeltaQ BMS 3) Install 48v lithium battery pack 4) Install lithium BMS in front trunk 5) Install battery information screen No modifications to Speed controller or solenoid needed. Can it really be this simple? Am I missing anything? Thanks for your insight |

![]() I watch the posts from people having trouble with some of the Lithium providers (RoyPoy, Big Battery, etc) and have to wonder why folks would be a "guinea pig" for another "new" company? These guys may be great but I personally wouldn't risk my hard earned money on it.
Why not put in an Eco Battery (Site Sponsor) at about the same price and proven? And as always-thank you for your service; Happy New Year to you and your family! |

![]() I was about to post exactly what Simicrintz wrote. The price is very similar to Eco battery and you get the full installation kit, including 48v to 12v reducer and cart specific charging port, with excellent support thrown in for good measure. No brainer I think.

![]() Honestly that does look like a pretty legitimate pack with reasonable specs. I think it would be just fine.
That said, it’s a new brand without much background. Eco is the same price and is proven to have excellent customer service (not just here on bgw) and they definitely stand behind their stuff. I’d go with eco personally. Also worth noting, I don’t have eco and am not partial or biased towards them, I have an allied setup in my cart and am very, very happy with it. But there are other reasons I have the allied setup in my cart |

![]() Thats the smaller version of the 300amp JBD bms and monitor I used in my $900 diy 90ah pack. The specs are the same for the relay version. Its a decent bms.. I am just curious what 105ah cells it has that rated for the 200a output.

![]() Most of the reviews for this pack are positive but some crack me up... One reviewer is complaining that they ordered the 48v pack but received the 51.2v pack instead... another states it was a great upgrade but only gave 2 stars. and yet another states his old Trojans lasted longer which I kinda find hard to believe.
Overall if it were me considering only this or the Eco pack id likely go with the Eco pack. At this cost point it would be worth it for the likely much better support BTW this battery is $400 cheaper is you order direct from Vatrers website. |

![]() Since my cart is uncommon, American Custom Carts, I need to do more diligence when making the upgrade.
I am sure I will need to match the speed controller with the right battery. The part number is 51-42L500NN0S 48v. 500a |
