Evolution 2023 D5 Ranger Software

Hi Fellow Evolution D5 Ranger owners; I'm looking for the software to increase my carts speed. I ordered the cable and need the software to complete this upgrade. Can anyone direct me as to where to obtain the software, please? Thank you in advance for your help.....new to this forum. Michael

The D5 uses the EV48-400 controller so you will use the same EV Programming Tool software that you can find in this group and many other locations.

I keep seeing posts that say the software for programming with a PC is posted in multiple places on this blog, but cannot find it anywhere. Someone said it is EVP205ENG.zip, but searching for that specifically, doesn't take me to it either. Does anyone have a link for the software?

I have a 2023 Maverick D5 and downloaded the EVP205ENG software and was able to get in and connect to the cart, however I cant increase the max forward speed. It was set at 6000 and all of the RPM ranges and at 6000 as well. It wont let me increase them. In looking through other forums Ive read that the correct software to make changes is something different because it has the Model # : EV48-400-C, which uses the GEF12 software. I cant find that anywhere. This is what the cable seller is showing as well. Any ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a 2024 evolution Maverick six seater with the 205 ah lithium. I purchased one of those wiring harnesses for $125 to increase the max speed but I was told time and again by the dealer and even a local golf cart guru that because I have a new motor or controller not from Curtis, I cannot increase the speeds. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Evolution carts moved away from Curtis controllers in 2022.5. And we've been programming the new controllers ever since using software found in this BGW group.

If your dealer and guru say they can't program your Evolution controller then they are a very limited resource.

If you end up not being able to use that cable I would be interested in buying it from you.

For the FJ EV48-400 and EV48-400-A controllers, you can use the EVP205ENG software found at post #7 in this link:

It looks sketchy but is ok. Read the file "Instruction.txt" in the zip. The installer is in Chinese, just accept the defaults and it will install correctly.
