ITS throttle Upgrade

I have an old ITS throttle box assembly on a series cart that I would like to upgrade to a newer style without a lot of headache. This is a 2005 Bad Boy Buggy that I just purchased and I am in the process of total rewire because of the wiring mess they manufactured before ezgo bought them out. The dealer had done the field retrofit controller and the new style throttle pedal but the field controller is shot and I want to go to a simple 700/800 amp controller for just one 15.5 hp motor. I have taken the front motor off because I do not want four wheel drive. can I just use the accelerator pedal assembly they installed and connect it to and ITS controller (say a GE) or will I have to do something else?

If you have a good ITS signal you can use a GE 700 control with the ITS throttle converter.

Buy 2 of the convertors, that way you will have one to put in when the first one fails/starts acting wierd. I replace those all the time and i hate them...

Is the ITS converter the little plastic piece with the four or five wires plugged into it like on the old ezgo Textron carts? Also, will the 700 amp controller be enough for the 15.5 hp motor? Could I get by with a 500 amp?
