PC Program for Curtis 1510A Controller
Does anyone know where I can download the pc software to get to user level access on the curtis 1510a-5251 controller?
I have an 09 CC Precedent iQ that is currently on speed code 1 and would like to get it to at least 3. |

I do believe you need a handheld IQDM something or other scanner to mess with those controllers...

I agree, I think the only way to program those is with an IQDM CC programmer...

Do a web search for speed code 5. I can say for sure it does work I have had it on my cart for several months and am very pleased with it. I run 23 to 24 mph on level ground.

Re: PC Program for Curtis 1510A Controller
Thanks for the quick replies!
I thought I seen where there was a 1314 pc software version out there where you you can connect through serial port to make changes. I thought it was for a 1268 controller which is supposed to be a direct replacement for the 1510A controller. I seen the speed code 5 device but I was a little leery....it might be the best option if it works; however, I don't know if I want that kind of speed with the kids on it. |

Why do you think it's on speed code 1?

Re: PC Program for Curtis 1510A Controller
Good question.
I started with MCOR and found it bad so replaced it and now getting good voltage range. Speed sensor seems to be functional as well. I will get regen and rolling beeper when trying to push the cart in forward and reverse. Load tested batteries and they appear to be fine. Motor voltage with pedal fully pushed results in 29V at motor for 48V system. So I am assuming this is more than likely a speed code of 1. That is how I kind of got to this point. |

Speed is how you tell what speed code your in or using a scope. Measuring voltage with a meter at the motor is not a good test ( depending on meter )on controller carts. if your meter is a cheepie try measuring on the AC scale this may be more accurate (remember your measuring pulsed dc at full voltage). Also the on this type of cart you have F terminals and A terminals which one did you measure.

I bought the cart from a golf course so I really can't believe they were using it at speed code 1. I benched tested the new MCOR but tonight I measured the voltage on the slider side of the potentiometer at the 16 pin controller and got 3.15VDC when pedal was fully pushed. I had 4.65VDC on the high side of the potentiometer so now this makes me think it's a pedal issue. If I find out the cart is setup for speed code 3, is there a setting to allow the full throttle voltage to be 3.15 V? Or should I be looking at something else? Also, tomorrow I will get it's speed using GPS. |
