Default just installed lift, front is higher than rear?

just installed a jakes spindle on my ezgo txt 2005. any reason the front sits higher than the rear? what can be done to change this? springs, longer shackle brackets? also the drivers brake cable is super tight, what do you guys do to take pressure off that line? thanks

You have to take the driver's side brake cable out of the bracket on the frame, then zip tie it through the hole in the bracket, so the cable is under the bracket.

Both ways you mention will raise the back or add blocks under the springs.

I just did a Jake's 6" dropped spindle lift on my 05 ezgo freedom and sits fine, but it's a low hour cart.

Same here. Also I had a lean to drivers side. Springs fixed it all as well as zip ties on the brakes.

This was talked about last week and I think someone posted a picture of the bracket.. Sorry I do not have the thread title..

^What Everyone Else Said^

And, another vote for Springs, even if You shackle it hard (like going from 2 1/2" to 4" shackles) if the springs are shot You're going to gain very little, not to mention that the 6" lift is at the frayed edges of sanity for the OEM shock length, so if You *do* try longer shackles, make sure your shocks aren't at the end of travel as You jack it to put the shackles on

Brew, I suspect that even with new springs the shocks will be at the "edges of sanity" For me it took shock extensions. Others I have read ordered custom shocks from Monroe. Something I did not know about.. Here is hoping it works out for the BEST
