Default off-road project car

New to forum but have had a couple of golf cars and would not want to live without one!!!or two!!! Just got a club car 83+?electric 36 volt,Was a project for a friend but he lost focus so now I have it.I want to put in a torque 48 volt motor and lift the car to hunt out of.I have a friend who works for a cc dealer that can help me out with parts at a deal.I also have extra parts for my 96DS and all the parts, wireing harness etc for a regin but was not leaning to go that direction.
Would like advise and input from you guys that have done these projects. My son is in the air force and works on the electrical and electronics on jets and will help me with the car.

I have an 83 Club Car also. They changed some things from early 83 to late 83. If its a 83 you can tell the difference by what color the spindle caps are (black or silver) and that will tell you if its an early or late 83... In 84 they started offering them with rack & pinion steering boxes. Be sure you know exatly what year it is when ordering parts, especially the lift.

Thanks,
rack&pinion steering was installed before I got the car.It did not come with it.The supension looks to be in good shape, three leaf springs on front and back but it has not been lifted yet.
I have a D&D model 42A ,48volt 10hp high torque coming and considering using it in this car along with a 700 amp or a pro 650 controller.Aiready have the 700 amp controller.Wondering what computer, same as my 96DS,I should use since I have only the one charger.
Will listen to any ideas!!
