Limited slip = $160-190 depending on where you get it... I got mine from MR. Carts (I thought they were in CA not Florida, and wanted it fast, oops) for $189

Doesnt matter what color.. It will get painted. I wouldnt mind having a Carbon fiber looking dash peice either!

this is the plowman's posi that i used. have to have the 991/2 larger carrier for it to work.

both of those things (carts?) are mean looking. wish i was younger. would probably kill myself today on them.

Thats the one!! How do you like it? Think it will hold up to some power and paddle tires?

I Got the new rear end lined up and hard tacked (so you cant have it back IBMF) ... Need to dissassemble, add the LSD, remove the governor... Then finish up all the welding on the rear and move on to the cage.

Guess what belt I ended up needing? 42"! all that work and Im still running a stock ezgo belt.

does that kit work for both elec and gas rear ends? you say you have to use a 99 1/2 larger carrier???? is that the same for gas or will it not work for a gas cart.

ezgo has offers a full spool with clutch packs in it for electric carts that bolt right in place of the old carrier......

So I borrowed a rear end from a cart out back with a blown motor and crashed altogether..... put my axle tubes on and ill put it back in tonight and be ready to go.. it will still be the open stock rear end but it will work for this weekend anyway, until i get the cable locker rear end!

so now im waiting on the new cr500 carb should be here tomorrow. get the rear end in tonight, new battery carb in tomorrow and were off to the dunes!!!!

koogar, i think it will hold up. the material in it looks metallic brake lining. might just ask plowman-he seems like a nice guy on the phone.

ibm, i really don't know if it will work for gas. i would think so, altho i have never taken a gas diff apart. i would think the carriers would be the same.
ezgo changed from a small carrier to a larger one about 991/2. i just pulled a larger carrier out of junk 2000 diff and swapped the carrier and pinions. everything else is the same. hope this helps.
will try to put up a pic showing the two.

plowman also recommends amsoil ford trans fluid, so maybe it uses tranny clutch material.
