Allied Lithium Installation - not charging
We just purchased a set of 4 of the 12v Allied Lithium batteries for a Club Car Precedent. Upon installation the cart ran fine but after the first run it seems the batteries aren't getting any power when charging.
The light on the charger is green after charging overnight like the batteries are fully charged but they have no juice. It goes about 10 feet and dies and the SOC says 0%. Read the Installation instructions from Allied and it says to install the batteries in parallel which is counter intuitive to the previous lead acid battery setup and also not what the Allied Lithium YouTube videos are showing. So we switched from the old setup to installing the batteries in parallel and now no power is going to the cart. We have the OBC bypassed. Just at a loss for why the batteries aren't charging at all. Installing in parallel doesn't seem to be the answer at all as it did run on the initial power the batteries had in the first run after install (not in parallel) when we first installed them. Looking for any advice or similar issues with these batteries. If there's another thread that troubleshoots this, point me in the right direction. Thanks all. |

Thanks. We're back to in a series now. The OBC is bypassed. Will give it another try.

Re: Allied Lithium Installation - not charging
When you remove the OBC, there is a certain wiring arrangement someone here helped me figure out...might want to dig through the OBC thread specifically where I get involved.
It will save you a headache...believe me. :) |

Post a picture of your battery. Be sure to show label stating 48v or 12v.
