Dash warning light during breaking

I have a new i60L - 50 miles, and I am now getting a warning light on the dash whenever I push the break.

Any ideas?

If you're referring to the red circle with the exclamation mark, I believe this is normal. I get the same thing. I think it's just telling you the brake is applied or being applied.

I really dont recall checking before, so you might be right .

Yes, I can confirm this normal - after a panicked call to my dealer early on...

I believe it just means the electric brake is engaged.

When you quickly stop & go, the e-brake does not kick on, but if you completely stop and wait a second, the brake will engage.

So when you're sitting at a stoplight with a slight incline, waiting on it...you don't need to keep your foot on the brake.

Or let's say you live on a hill and you wanted to check your mail. You might stop in front of your home (on the hill) and leave the key on and hop out of the cart to check the mailbox. The electric brake would engage so the cart does not roll away.

Yes, I have also experienced this red warning..it is really more of an
alert that your parking brake is on...

It is just an alert...
