Re: Loss of voltage at key switch
Unplug the connector to the OBC and place a jumper (paper clip works for this) between the Blue wire and White wire on the cart side plug. This is part of what is done to bypass the OBC when moving to an aftermarket charger or a lithium conversion. The OBC is just to control the charger using the Power Drive 2 chargers. It also disables the cart when the charger is plugged in. If cart runs, then either the OBC is bad or it just needs to be reset to wake it up again. Your OBC could have gone into sleep mode.
The White wire at the sonic weld right after the fuse from Tow/Run goes to the OBC. The OBC when functioning correctly allows power to the controller on the light blue wire. Attached is a 2006 Precedent wiring diagram. I think the drawing supplied above is for the CC DS IQ system which is basically identical. But this one may be more clear or accurate on location of sonic welds. Check out this link on the resetting of the OBC https://tidewatercarts.com/how-to-re...-cart-obc.html My 2 cents, maybe 15 cents being so wordy |

Re: Loss of voltage at key switch
Jumping the white to the light blue allowed the cart to run.
So the obc is charging the batteries but is not waking up the speed controller. Can I permanently connect those two wires and still use the factory battery charger? |

Re: Loss of voltage at key switch
Yes you can...Just be aware that the cart will now run with the charger plugged in...That is the purpose of the lockout when the charger is plugged in...It will charge normally...
