I got the flexible exahaust pipe in and hooked up as well as fuel line. I went ahead a started the motor and ran it for a bit (YouTube video below). I had to adjust the engine idle lower so it would allow the clutch to disengage. Since I am fairly new to golf cart, I was wondering if someone can tell me if the rear driven clutch is operating normally in the video? Should the plate have that much play in it when its at low rpm? Thanks.

Nice setup. Congrats!

The secondary clutch movable sheave should not be doing that. Something is wrong. I can't determine what the problem is from that video though.

Also, I fear the flexible exhaust pipe will only last a very short time. I've used it only once before, never again.

Doesn't the inner sheaf on the secondary look like it is warped or bent?

Either that, or a bad bushing.

I took it apart and the bushing was extremely worn, along with the spring being stretched and the helix having the fingers worn off. Needless to say its looking like I will be buying a new clutch. Any recommendations on a replacement? What aftermarket options exist or should I just look at an OEM?

Glad you figured it out.

Price vs performance, I'd go OEM.

Take a good look at your input shaft and spacer on the input shaft.

Good looking build. Other than the flex pipe that is.......... If I were going to use flex pipe I'd use as little as possible. Go with solid exhaust from the pipes into a single collector and do the same on the muffler. Then just a short, one piece of flex from one collector to the other. Much less chance of problems and if there is, then you could just replace that part. Even better than that would be to use one of the stainless steel flex joints like I saw someone else on the forum use to do what I described above, except he only had a single cyl. clone build he used it on.
