small 12v battery for lights?
I have a 2000 DS 48V Series cart.
I am restoring and now I am connecting the lights back. I do not have a 48 to 24v converter. For a little less money than a converter I can buy a small footprint [smaller than a car battery] 12 v deep cell battery. I dont drive at night, and wont need to run the lights very long. Beside shorter operating time, is there any reason not to go this route? I already have a 12v charger. |

Re: small 12v battery for lights?
a lot of people use a stand alone battery for the extras on their cart, but just for lights, IMO I would get a 48-12 dc reducer, but if you are going to at some point put in other stuff, like radio, amps, more lights cig outlet, ect, then the extra batt will def help.
