If you want a true A-Arm, I suggest the long travel from Strech or Jake's, but your costs will triple. The A Arm kits you are looking at still use a leaf spring, which isn't any different than a spindle lift - My 2 cents...

Gotcha, I'm just having a hard time finding a true 8" spindle lift...

I don't really want to spend the money on a long-travel kit - I need to be saving money to put 3/4 ton axles under my truck...

Well, just my .02... I got a 6" Jakes A-Arm lift for $275 for my G8, and then put 10"wheels with 22" tires.. got about 8"+ total lift, and I too, like yourself, am not planing on anything extreme with my cart. Mainly a people hauler at the races, so I wanted it to look cool.

The lift was easy to put on, and the only complaint I would have, is that the rear wheels rub just a bit when turning at speeds... Could be that I hit the sacles at 280 and am 6'5" tall. I just ordered the heavy duty rear coils for the shocks, think that should do the trick.

The lift kit is really nice. Wheels and tires were mounted and ready to roll right out of the box. COuld not be happier....
