Controller Amp ratings
So Now I'm trying to pull the trigger on buying a controller for my Melex project. Still easily confused.
I know I need a 48volt capable controller, and my throttle setup is 0-5K ohms. Is a higher current rating just plain better, i.e., 500A vs 325A, or 275A? Will the cart run better, faster, cooler, etc.? Or does the amp rating need to be matched to the motor? In my case a GE series motor? What other considerations? |
