Default 88 club falls on its face.

Started out thinking starving fuel issue. Replaced fuel pump ,fuel lines, cleaned carb, replaced carb, replaced filters, replaced plug, fuel filter is now holding fuel but will only run an not rev up. Checked spark seems great Acts like a fuel issue, also checked exhaust to make sure getting plenty air out. 100 psi on compression test . Cleaned new carb again ,still the same starts runs while barely pressing pedal, if starts to die bump the choke it stays running but barely. Sometimes in service mode I can work the accelerator enough to get it to rev up
I ordered a new coil won’t be here for a week but not convinced that is the culprit
Any help is appreciated

Check fuel pickup line in/from tank for obstruction.

Tried cold start to floor with choke revs up as it should
Started without choke only runs pressing pedal slightly
Will not rev up
Doesn’t this have to be fuel /air issue?
I don’t know what I could be looking over everything has been replaced new and cleaned twice.

Question 1: When you replaced the carb, was it OE?

Question 2: Are you running a stock air filter housing? Is it sealed properly?

If it was an ebay carb I'd be suspect. The performance issues you describe sound like a fuel issue, likely the carb. Aftermarket carbs are notorious for not working well.

It sounds like it's running lean. When you screw in the pilot air screw all the way, that closes off the air to the pilot circuit, making it a richer mix. If it runs well on that setting, it means you don't have enough fuel coming through that jet, and it might need to be larger. Sometimes that means it's clogged. But if it's an aftermarket carb, it could be jetted lean.

If you are using the stock airbox etc, check all your connections. If it's leaking it might make it run lean.

If you are using an aftermarket air filter (K&N/Uni) it could be running lean from that.

Thanks for input. The carb is cheap amazon
I sprayed carb cleaner around carb check for leaks
The air box does need bolts tightened a lil more where it goes together I will try that tomorrow evening. Thanks again

Another evening I won't get back lol. Drilled jet on carb. Sealed air box
Still not enough fuel. Pulled air box placed heavy paper towel over the choke and mixture screw turned all the way in runs good. Also checked for head gasket leak
Now considering doing v twin swap.
