Default Brake wont release?

G16. Put brake on and it wont fully release when hit gas pedal. Tried wd40. It didn’t help. Is spring bad? If pull brake back with my foot it then it fully releases.

Try lubricating your cables. Get a cable lube clamp and a can of lube. Good luck!

The return spring might be broken, it's a common failure point. I recommend only a factory Yamaha part for that.

I’d agree. Look at the spring behind it, it’s the heavy duty little guy behind the pedal. If you don’t have rust it’s cheap and 5 minute fix. If you have rust it’s cheap, but *might* take a little longer than 5 minutes

Rust....I hate rust. Those dang springs. I hate replacing those. Every Yami cart I've owned/built needed one. Cheap part. Hours of cussing.

I just replaced one of those springs this morning on a 2017 Drive 2...they really need to come out with a better spring set up...after all these years this is still one of the weakest points on a Yami...
