Default Hunting cart warning

I use my cart to hunt and to also seed and fertilize my plots. The last couple of days I have been upgrading my cart with a new motor and solenoid. I decided it would be much easier to do with the rear body off.
Boy, was I ever wrong. Every bolt, nut and washer were corroded by the fertilizer. I had to cut, drill, or beat the crap out of every connection. Turned 1 hour of work into 8 hours. In the future I will make a shield to keep the fertilizer away from cart.
Cart is an '03 Club Car. Hope to get the body back on this afternoon and hit the trails.
Good hunting.

Yep, fertilizer. That stuff is nasty. It will eat spreaders too if you don't rinse them and treat them. I usually wash my equipment with normal dish soap and hot water, then I treat all the metal with Fluid Film. Been using that stuff for years on snowplows and undercarriages. Works great for anything that sees corrosion, even aluminum. It's a little messy when you have to "work on" the areas that have been sprayed. But it's non toxic and washes off with soap and water. It's Lanolin/Woolwax based. You can actually use it to soften your callused hands. An ounce of prevention.....um.....well you know the rest right?
