I see your detent screw is still in place, so you better be looking for an extra steel ball & maybe a spring. It would only be "set free" after the cover was removed from the axle. Screw, spring & ball were supposed to be removed before the cover was removed (to note it's original screw setting, and avoid parts loss).

I have the ball and spring and I counted the threads. Do you have any info on the internals on the transmission as far as bearings and oil shaft seal? I got a clutch shaft seal and a clutch seal and a bearing but haven't got to see if it is the right stuff. Works been busy. Thanks for the replies and help brother. I really appreciate it. Ive restored a few electric carts very fun. This one i was hoping would be fun but its been a pain in the ***. Should have spend 4k and got a nice one lol.im also building this 85 c10. Ls4, twin turbo, rebuilt 2500 Allison tranny, full holly dominator set up. But this cart is stumping me. Can't find parts.

Yep, except the G27 has a lower gear because it's a utility cart. 15:1, vs 12:1 in the G22.

My G11 Yamahauler utility cart will do 30 on 22" tires with Plowmans overdrive clutch combo...

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I have hills and creek bottoms to drive through with 4 people and use it to haul a small trash trailer. So low end torque is a plus
