Default Height of the i40L. Help?

Hey all. New to the forums and getting ready to buy my first cart actually. I really like the i40L features and price is great. I want to get it but am concerned about the overall height and getting it in and out of my garage. My garage opening in parts, due to support bracing for the garage door is at 81". My local dealer told me I need 81.5" for clearance. Seems like that is sitting really high up if so. Everything on line seems to indicate 6.5 feet height for lifted carts.... So what is it?

Welcome FishMd to buggies ...

Great place for help and advice..

Best thing would be if you could go to dealership with tape measure...
check the ground to top of roof at highest point...double check

Perhaps A-train could helpus here

Wish I could help you further

Hey FishMd

Did you ever speak with your dealer to get the height of the I40L?

They told me 81.5". Will see if she fits or not when I get it home because I purchased it.

That's good...I hope you don't need a very large size shoe horn to
squeeze into the garage!!!

For sure you will enjoy your new cart

If its really close tire pressure could make a difference. Trade offs of course. Over the years there have been several solutions to this mostly geared to getting lifted carts into toy haulers and I'm pretty sure some of them have evolved to commercial solutions. Involves cutting the canopy struts and inserting a device to allow lowering and then raising the canopy again. May be too cumbersome for your situation but maybe not. Should be fairly universal but I'm not familiar with the icon and its' clones canopy support.

I just measured my i60L AND my i40L and 81.5" is oddly accurate from the ground to the very top of the highest part of the roof.

If you have 81" exactly, I think it'll scrape. To drop 0.5" you'd have to take a decent amount out of air out and then refill it after?

1/2" is probably too much for an air pressure fix.

Most garages, you can adjust the final open and closed heights if that's an option. If I read your comment right, it sounds like your actual supports are fixed at 81"...you might be SOL 😢
