Taylor Dunn Thunderbird
I recently purchased what I believe is a 1978 Thunderbird cart. It is a bit rough around the edges but seems to function fairly well. The batteries, new in October '08 do not want to take a full charge but enough to make it go.
It has, what I will call for lack of knowing the proper term, a rheostat-like speed control. I am wondering what the relative advantages/disadvantages of this type of speed control versus an electronic one. It seems that this one can be very easily repaired/rebuilt, even by a newbie like me. |
