What shocks to use with ‘94 EZGO Marathon w/ HD rear springs?
Does anyone know what shocks to use with ‘94 EZGO Marathon w/ HD rear springs? Just bought some heavy duty springs and someone said the shocks won’t fit anymore.. also just realized the HD springs say they’re for electric Marathons.. and mine is a GAS Marathon.. is there any difference? I didn’t think so.. I guess if there is a difference between gas and electric, I’ll be returning these springs..

Re: What shocks to use with ‘94 EZGO Marathon w/ HD rear springs?
Gosh I feel dumb.. cant even figure out how to edit my above post... was going to say I’d love to know if there’s a post anywhere that shows our stock shock numbers and sizes, good/common aftermarket shock brands and their part numbers, and maybe even shocks that work with heavy duty rear springs and some common lift kits... (For a 1994 EZGO Marathon..) Anyone know the answers to any of these questions? (Including how do I edit or delete a post?) 😂

You can only edit for so long then the edit button goes away.
About shocks.. when the stock ones are too short I use shock extenders and put them on top of the shock (out of sight) Also my experience with HD springs is, the ride is like a log wagon and shocks don't do a lot.. I wouldn't waste my money. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/m...SABEgJ31_D_BwE About lift kits.. I think on Marathons they changed the suspension in mid year 94, first you need to know what you have. |

Re: What shocks to use with ‘94 EZGO Marathon w/ HD rear springs?
Thanks for getting back Stove! I have. ‘94 1/2..!🙂 Sounds like you really know your stuff…I value your opinion, so much so that I returned my heavy duty springs before even trying them.. I’m changing shocks for improved ride, I don’t want it to ride like a brick.. I thought I had to because I’m putting a rear seat kit on..I still have no idea to where to even start with my rear shocks.. I’d LOVE some adjustable shocks.. maybe air shocks for a motorcycle or something? So I can adjust them for when I’m with passengers, and without? If you have any brands or part numbers, I’d appreciate it very much. I have the fronts.. bought Monroe’s...
