Look at the threads showing on top of the adjuster lock nuts for the valve rockers. Do the center 2 valves show more threads than the outside 2? If so you’ll need to replace those valves.

I am currently running an ezgo workhorse at home that the intakes show 2 more threads than exhaust and it runs great.
I also have 175 pounds of compression on both cylinders. Not going to do anything as long as it is still running good. Cranks time I touch pedal.

My point is they will still run and have good compression but it won't be long before I have to replace the intakes. For now I am using it.

Did you use a good compression tester and ? Did you have your throttle all the way open when doing the test ? Look at it good to make sure. It will fool you if you don't have the throttle plate full open.
Your compression problem just might be down deeper.
Here is what mine looks like so you can check it with yours

My Tester is a good one yes on the other?if the engine was running backwards
would that cause compression to be low

I'm pretty sure that should in fact be COUNTER-clockwise. Running backwards would obviously have the valves opening at the wrong times and probably would mess with compression.
