Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
You might want to look at NRracing's line of carbs but putting an adjustable jet carb in a relatively stock engine will give you a nice boost in power and over all better running.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
Is there an adjustable jet carb available or are you just referring to the adjustable main? I don't see an idle mixture screw on my carb.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
I did not know if the 301 had an adjustable idle jet. I was speaking about the main jet. It might not be a bad idea to speak or email Russell Thompson at NRracing about the right carb for the 301.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
It looks like what you describe Shepard fixing. I assume the brass in the top left of the carb is where the idle circuit is. It appears to have the same broken off screw in it. I have a bridgeport, tempted to cut it out with an end mill and thread for this needle.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
That is it alright. I made a mess out of the VC 24 mm 3 circuit trying to get it out with hand tools. I bumped Shepard's rescue of my carb where he details exactly how he did it.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
Thanks, the screw I have looks a bit too blunt to use compared to what he puts in. I think it would be wiser to buy a new carb. It looks like most of them available have adjustable idle screws. If I add the adjustable main I ordered, should be able to dial it in pretty well.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
Picked up this carb with idle mixture screw and added the adjustable main jet. Hoping to get it going tomorrow.

By the looks of it that should work great.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
You may have a problem with your muffler when the suspension cycles. Their may not be enough flex causing your exhaust to break/bend.

Re: EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?
I got it running and this happens when I get on it hard... is there something wrong/misadjusted with my new clutch?
