The one in Kenner is Wholesale Battery Co. on Connecticut and the one in Hammond is Battery Depot on 190 down the road from the airport.

I have Costco batteries in both my carts, 8 6v in my 94 Medalist that are from 2012 and still doing good, been on a DPI charger since new. I also have 6 6v in my 99 DS but they are only a year old and charged with a Yewey charger. I would recommend them from my experience.

Okay, I'm sure most of you will frown upon my decision, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with six 6 volt Costco batteries right now. They're warrantied for 2 years, so that will give me time to get my parts together for a 48 volt upgrade. I'll have cores when it comes time to buy good batteries.

I thought you were asking about batteries from Costco Wholesale? The link you posted is from a battery store in California, how much is shipping?

oops wrong link, I was referring to costco wholesale. I just saw that link and the Costco name and didn't look into any further.

I have had the Duracell 8v from Costco in my Medalist since May and have not have had any issues (knock on wood) Also using the DPI gen IV charger.

Thanks for the URL TexTurbo! Hadn’t thought of that resource for new batteries, as I figured only used or reconditioned would be listed. I’ll definitely give it a try.

Trying to make a final decision here. Do I buy six 6 volt batteries and get my cart running and upgrade my components as I go. Then switch over to 48 volts, or do I buy six 8 volt batteries and leave my cart not running as I upgrade piece by piece,

Sams Club has some good prices on Duracell batteries.
