Default First cart refurb

Since everyone else has done it, I will show you all what I've been tinkering with for the last several months.

The mandatory before photo:

Disassembly. Never ever buy a cart that is near water...

Had to fabricate new braces.

Media blasted...

Then the wait...

Then after waiting way too long:

The lift went on next:

Then the new tires/wheels arrived. Of course I had to test them to see if they fit.

Then I splurged and bought an airbrushed body from Schweitzers. Very happy with the quality.

Tried cleaning up the original seat and put in the new batteries. Gave it a go only to find out the controller was bad. Time for a call to ScottyB for a new Alltrax.

After a few phone calls to Alltrax, I got the controller straightened out. I then added the Modz All American rear seat kit.

I didn't like the look of the bare aluminum top supports so I had them powdercoated in black. Reattached the original top and cleaned up the original windshield.

I had added a dash kit and the switch for the LED light and digital volt meter. I also couldn't see paying an arm and a leg for a new floor mat. So a cheap floor runner from Lowe's was resized to fit.

Then the weirdest thing happened! Momma actually told me to spend money on the cart! I was looking at different brush guards and she liked this style so out came the card.

I think its pretty much finished. Yeh I know how that works...lol...

So after spending way more than I thought I would, we have a cart to run around the campgrounds and race track. Here's the current set up:

Yes, the question comes up often how are we going to bring the cart and a fifth wheel camper at the same time. A new toyhauler is not out of the question but we haven't found a floorplan we just love yet. I don't like the idea of adding a rack to haul it on the rear and double towing is not legal on the East coast. Well just have to keep looking.

Looks great!
I personally would do the seats and roof in a non stock color. But it does match the rig so there’s that.
Obviously, If you had a bumper puller you could carry it in the bed of the truck.

Looks good, been working on our cart also. We have a permanent lot that use the cart at. Still pull the camper out to travel

Thanks for the comments. The more I look around the BGW site, the more ideas I see Id like to add.

Or maybe pick up another cart and do it all again.
