Default XCT and other questions

I'm converting my cart to 48V. I have a 500 amp controller that is probably no good. I'm going to try it and then buy a new one. (And whatever I damage, LOL)

First question, why would I buy a XTC 500 instead of a regular 500? (Money is not really an issue)

Next unrelated question, I'm going to be putting two 6V batteries in the bag well. What is the universally accepted way of doing this? I'm talking hold downs and covers. Any pics you can point me to?

I'm out of town right now, but I like to order stuff so it's like Christmas when I get back.

By regular 500 I assume you mean the 12 yr old DCX control. Quickly compared to the new XCT release it's a bit like comparing grampa's flip phone to a new smart phone. Some new XCT Features include

Reverse polarity protection on the input and output ends. (this can save hundreds of dollars in replacement cost if a wrench is dropped or it is incorrectly installed)

Significantly higher peak and sustained outputs than AXE

Self powering usb connection programming.

RPM control

1-3 user mode

customize-able throttle and torque curves.

Adjustable regen braking

retain OEM roll-away protection

and more

You working the day after Xmass, Scotty? Or are you sneaking on while your wife isn't looking? LOL.

Watch what you say about cell phones. I still use the first cell phone I ever bought. (Much to my wife's chargrin)

In any case, I'm not very puter literate. If buy one of those XCTs from you, will you program it for me? What do they come with for default settings? (Probably they are good enough for me.)

I'm website building on my vacation. Self employment is like that. After 6 hours I've had enough though...
Each control is pre-programmed by me. I set them up for soft start and full power, seems to satisfy most everybody.
