98 club car gas cart burning up solenoids
I have replaced 5 solenoids in about six months. I replaced the starter/generator about the same time that this started.

R U replacing with Golf Cart solenoids?
Momentary duty solenoids won't do the job of these continuous duty solenoids. |

Yes, they are from the golf cart shop and they are new and not re-manufactured.

Re: 98 club car gas cart burning up solenoids
I have a 2006 that had an issue when I bought it. Sometimes would not start, I thought it was the battery, however, a battery jump start didn't help. However, if I jumped the battery and starter terminal, it fired right up. I finally replaced the solenoid and that took care of it for a couple of months. I again replaced the solenoid and so far it is working. I took apart the solenoid that failed and the contacts were burnt. Solenoid was engaging, however, was not passing current to the starter.
So, I may have the same issue...... |
