lift height ?
I have a 2005 Precedent that is currently stock with 18 x 8 1/2 x 8 tires and wheels. If I were to put a 6" spindle lift, 22 x 10 x 10 tires I would actually gain 8" of lift correct?

Re: lift height ?
13 people have nothing to say?
The reason for my original question is that I would like to keep the top and still get it in the building. |

Re: lift height ?
You should be right, the tires may very a little. Check with the lift kit manufacture and the tire makers.

Re: lift height ?
For every inch you go up in tire size you lift the vehicle half an inch. So if I go from a 18" tire to a 22" inch tire I have put a 4" taller tire on which should raise the vehicle 2".

Re: lift height ?
I have a 6 inch lift kit and 23 inch tires and can drive into my shop. The shop has normal double doors the same size as house doors.

Re: lift height ?
I guess it depends on what you consider a lift. the suspension lift will push the chassis and body 6 inches away from the factory location of your spindle thus allowing you to run a taller tire in order to increase your ground clearance. As stated, running a tire that is approximately 4 inches taller will move the lowest part of your cart (bottom of differential) 2 inches. The overall height at the fender wheel well will measure approximately 8" over factory vehicle height.

Re: lift height ?
6" lift is 6". It doesen't have anything to do with tire size. Tire sise is 1/2" lift for every inch you increase tire size.
